1. Portable installer for Electronic Notebook (uportal) under way
2. Portable command line injection tools for Figshare done, Dspace under way.
3. Update of two instances of DSpace digital repositories (Spiral and SPECTRa) to V4 under way
4. SWORD1 protocol for metadata exchange between repositories demonstrated to work
5. SWORD2 protocol for metadata exchange between repositories to be investigated with DSpace V4.
   • SWORD2 honours pre-existing handles (DOIs) when synchronising with other repository
   • Data stubs: link-outs to other repositories/storage space for EPSRC data catalogue mandates?
   • link-outs to data descriptors (see below)
6. DataCite and ORCID APIs now integrated into SPECTRa (and Spiral?)
7. Planning for exchange of ORCID metadata on SPECTRa with DataCite records.
   • Allows effective research data metrics to be collected
8. Meeting was held with Thomson-Reuters (London) to discuss eg ManuscriptCentral/ORCID project, in association with ORCID pilot in Chemistry (October 2014)
9. Symplectic support for ORCID coming
10. Implementation of OAI-PMH metadata-standard for machine retrieval of data from Repository (DSpace and DataCite compatible) to augment the 10320/loc method already implemented (for DSpace only, DataCite for Figshare?).

11. Meeting with Andrew Hufton (Editor ScientificData), Monday 28th, 11.00 (Room 169, C2 chemistry) to discuss data descriptors and RDM special issue?
