Could I have some feedback on whether the recipients list should be
available to all? This allows everyone to see all the e-mail addresses etc.
and some members may not wish this. It also allows "commercial"
organisations to obtain this information free of charge (I know that
equivalent posting lists can be very valuable indeed!!).
Whilst it is possible to "conceal" subscribers, I am uncertain whether
the user themselves can do this. When my "guru" comes back from
vacation, I will endeavour to find out more (unless anyone out there
knows how to do this).
Anyone who is worried that their name and e-mail address is public
may wish to send a message to listserver@ic.ac.uk with the one liner
unsubscribe watoc
until we have a clear policy on this issue!
