Yes it is 6 cal/mol difference. I will be doing some higher order
calculations. These calcultions will not be performed on the TBDMS
protected compound but on the simple trop-6-ene N-Oxide.

I have now performed NMR rate studies on both N-Oxides, which showed a
difference of 3.56 : 1. This was performed in DMSO at 90 deg C.
I have looked closely at the reaction mixture and did not see the
formation of the other N-Oxide isomer. This would mean that the first
step is not reversible, although in theory it is.
