Pros and cons:

• Pros:
  1. Course accessible ubiquitously (Lake Louise)
  2. Course read/writable by all (including students, who did!)
  3. Many students already have contributed to Wiki(pedia)
  4. Professional tools for creating chemistry of publishable quality
  5. Plagiarism Detection (History/digital repository date stamps)
  6. Expoes friendly-face of computational chemistry to "wet-chemists".
  7. Introduces modern publishing/data preservation practices to students
  8. Package now popular with graduate students for their PhD studies!
• Cons:
  1. Online presence essential (but OpenOffice to MediaWiki can be offline)
  2. Not Microsoft Office! (also a Pro!).
  3. Wiki longevity (difficult to delete material present from previous sessions)
  4. Need to hide some Wiki functionality (the discover tools)
  5. Lecture Course-lab integration requires instructors to abandon PPT/PDF and adopt Wiki.
