Use-case example: re-engineering the way data is presented in journals

• Conventional table of results replaced with an interactive FAIR Data Table (or Datument)
• FAIR table can be treated as a separate research object
  • assigned its own DOI and own metadata
• FAIR Data table populated by retrieving data on demand using each Data DOI
  • Achieved using accepted Open standards (ORE/METS) implemented in the Data repository.
  • OpenSource Preview/Overview/Visualisation tool integrated into the FAIR Table.
• giving immediate and richer (FAIR) access to the data+tools
• and direct access via metadata search of DataCite.
