Synthesis of Fluconazole 

[1,3-bis-(1 H-1,2,4-triazole-1-yl)-2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-2-propanol]

Several novel methods for the synthesis of Fluconazole are reported in literature and some of the more prominent ones are listed below

1.   Conversion an epoxide to Fluconazole

2.   Lithiated or grignard difluorobenzene to Fluconazole

3.   Laboratory suitable method

4.   Commercially viable method: Sulphate process
