Career Path

After an undergraduate degree in Liverpool, Robin studied for his D.Phil. in Oxford under the supervision of Raymond Dwek. Following a brief period of post-doctoral work in the same lab, he moved to Imperial College to work with Alan Fersht. Although Alan has long since moved to Cambridge, Robin has remained at Imperial ever since.

Background

Originally from the Manchester area (and so with a legitimate reason to support the one and only football team, MUFC), Robin now lives in rural Surrey (adding to the common perception that this is where most United fans reside).
