Some aldehyde complexes were obtained in good optical purity through a cinetic resolution with baker's yeast. Stopping the reduction reaction at about 50% conversion, we recovered, after chromathographic separation, aldehydes and the corresponding alcohols in a range of 56-90% enantiomeric excesses [3-5].
