Antoine Delmotte
Antoine studied for a Bachelor and Master degree in electrical engineering at the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons (UMons) in Belgium and Supélec in Paris, specialising in signal treatment and control with a focus towards biomedical applications. During his stay in Paris, he also obtained a Bachelor and Master degree in theoretical physics from Université de Paris-Sud XI (Orsay).

His research is focused on the use and development of a computational method for the analysis of protein structures using tools from graph theory such as multiscale community detection algorithms and aiming at uncovering the dynamics of biomolecules at different time scales

Panayiotis S. Georgiou
Panayiotis S. Georgiou received his MEng in Information Systems Engineering in 2009 from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Imperial College London. His Masters' thesis focused on data clustering using Hamiltonian dynamics. He is now a PhD student at the Department of Chemistry of Imperial College under the supervision of Dr Sophia Yaliraki, Dr Mauricio Barahona and Dr Emmanuel Drakakis.

His current research focuses on the development of a mathematical framework for the analysis of memristive nanoelectronics and their device properties.

Michael Schaub
Michael studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at ETH Zurich with a focus on communication systems before coming to London to read for a MSc in Biomedical Engineering (Neurotechnology stream) at Imperial College.

His current research deals with the analysis of complex systems that can be abstracted as networks or graphs. Using tools from graph theory and dynamical systems he is trying to reveal relevant subgroupings (community structure) in these systems. Applications include bio-chemical systems but also social and technological networks.

Postdocs

Mariano Beguerisse
I studied Applied Mathematics at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where I graduated in 2006 with a thesis on authorship detection of text documents. At the time I also worked as a software developer and researcher at a company dedicated to gathering and classifying large amounts of news. In 2008 I obtained a Master's degree in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing at the University of Oxford, where I worked on the Netflix data and network growth models. After Oxford I came to Imperial College to study for a PhD on Mathematical Biology, my project consisted on studying the response of plants to compound stresses.

My current research interests are networks (of many kinds) with an emphasis on time-changing networks and dynamics both on and of networks and what they can reveal about groupings and communities. I'm interested in the applications of network-science tools in problems ranging from biology to sociology.
