Kilian Tellmann
Kilian spent the final year of his MSci degree at the Phillips-Universität in Marburg, Germany. His time there as a member of the research group of Professor Sundermeyer was spent mostly on the development of new polymerisation catalysts. Following many experiences and experiments in continental Europe, Kilian returned to the UK in June 1999 to graduate from Imperial College to become a member of Professor Gibson's group in the fall of that year.

Atanas Tomov
Following his undergraduate studies at the Higher Institute of Chemical Technology in Bulgaria, Atanas completed his PhD studies on the synthesis of nickel-based oligomerization and polymerization catalysts at Bourgas University of Technology (1994) under the suppervision of Professor K. Kurtev. He then worked for two years in Assen Zlatarov University, Bulgaria as a lecturer before spending one year as post-doc (1996-1997) at ENSCM, Montpellier in the group of Professor F. Fajula, working on heterogeneous chromium based catalysts. He then moved to the Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Physique Electronique de Lyon to work in the group of Professor R. Spitz working on nickel based olefin polymerization / copolymerization catalysts. Atanas joined Professor Gibson's group in July, 1999 and is currently researching new olefin polymerization catalysts.

David Jones
David obtained his PhD from the University of Tasmania under the supervision of Prof. Kingsley Cavell. He has spent time since then at Sheffield University working with Prof. Varinder Aggarwal and Cardiff University working with Prof. Peter Edwards before joing the group of Prof. Vernon Gibson in Jan. 1999. David has spent four years examining ligand design and complex synthesis for olefin polymerisation for BP and was the BP team leader from Oct. 2000 to Feb. 2004. He is currently examining new catalytic systems for MMA polymerisation for ICI.
