Question: The surface is built of rectangular segments of finite width, height, and length, forming a twisted, four sided cyclic tube. But how about e.g. an n-sided tube, where n is either odd or even? Can a 2p AO be treated as a rectangular segment of finite width, height, and length and even n? How about two orthogonal 2p AOs? Or 3d AOs?
