Nanodispersed Materials
A number of Cd, Zn or Pb chalcogenides, surface derivatised
sub-micrometric and nano-metricmaterials, especially from simple single
molecule precursors, have been prepared.
The figure below is a HRTEM (high resolution
transmission electron micrograph) image of a quantum dot of CdSe.(4,
8, 14)
The figure below is a series of images illustrating
three different sizes of PbS; 1) Naturally occurring PbS (photograph),
2) SEM (scanning electron micrograph) of PbS deposited film, 3) HRTEM (high
resolution transmission electron micrograph) of nanocrystals of PbS.(15)
