More Information on the Tris(ethylenediamine)Co(III)3+ Ions All of the structures of the [tris(ethylenediamine)Co(III)]3+ Isomers shown on this Web Site were calculated using Gaussian 98. The isomer shown on this information page is the Λ -λλλ isomer. The ligand is a very simple neutral ligand and does not deprotonated when it binds. Three ligands are bound to the Co(III) ion to create a 3+ charged complex ion.
